CPR Level A

Toronto First Aid features a variety of cardiopulmonary resuscitation classes. By far the most basic class offered through this workplace approved provider is CPR “A”. This CPR course will take approximately 4 hrs to complete and educates applicants on fundamental CPR knowledge for recognizing and saving adult victims. The majority of individuals finish this course with no problem and instantly receive a St Mark James CPR and AED certificate. Over 95% of the individuals that enroll into this course complete the program without any issues. We also have a “no pressure” policy that states if a candidate does not complete the course after attending the class he or she will be able to re-take the course at no additional cost.

The certification received at successful completion of the course meets government criteria for CPR certification for school or employment requirements. This workplace approved CPR course follows the recommendations of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) for the latest techniques and standards in CPR.

Class Description

Course Cost

The duration of a CPR “A” is approximately 4 hours in length as mandated by the provincial and federal regulations of Canada. The price of the CPR course is — dollars. This fee is a flat fee with all costs included. We pride ourselves on offering the lowest rates in Toronto.

Program Content

Students will become familiar with cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures for adult subjects. Topics include mild and severe obstructed airways and complications when performing CPR. Participants will also learn about legalities associated with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and ways to apply an AED. This program includes minimal training in cardiac emergencies.

Official Certifications

Candidates that pass the course will instantly be given a St Mark James cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) level “A” and AED award that’s good for three years. This award is valid across Canada and meets a number of certification standards including Government and academic requirements.

Private Courses

Re-Certifications

Re-certification classes are not available for CPR and AED “A”. Students have to retake the lesson to re-cert the certificate. This is a policy set by the first aid and CPR training providers of Canada.
