Treatment for morning sickness is not necessary but there are instances in which measures can help the individual feel better.

  • Eat small meals throughout the day to prevent being too full or too hungry
  • Avoid spicy, rich, greasy or fatty foods
  • Increase the intake of carbohydrates
  • Avoid foods with smells that makes the individual nauseous
  • Provide bland foods if the individual feels nauseous
  • Before getting out of bed in the morning, eat a few saltine crackers to calm the stomach

In case these tips could not provide relief to the morning sickness, a doctor should be consulted so that further assessment can be carried out.
